Jazz Auditions are coming up!  To make sure you are placed in the right band, and to give Mr. Gray a chance to hear how awesome you are, grab your horn, axe (guitar), keys (piano), or sticks (drummers) and practice up for auditions! Check the Calendar to see when your day is and PLEASE show up on time and prepared.

If you're nervous, or you're on the fence, JUST DO IT!  You won't regret it.

Due to technical complications, Jazz Audition music will NOT be available online this year.  Be sure to pick up a copy for your particular instrument starting Wednesday September 1st.

Remember, NOW is the time to practice...don't wait for it - go and get it!

Welcome to the website for the Mesa Verde Middle School Music Department.  This website will be updated regularly with information about performances, assignments, forms, etc.  Refer to it often!

T-Shirts were handed out on the first day of school to those who took care of Music Registration and the donation on Registration Day.  

Please review the MV Music Handbook with your child and sign the cover.  Also, please fill out the registration form (page 4).  Both are due on Friday the 27th for credit!

The MHS Jazz Festival is THIS SATURDAY, May 1.  Parents, friends, and family, this is the last judged Festival Performance of the year for Jazz A.  It's an early one, but the kids are playing quite well, so come and check it out!

Call time: MHS Band Room 7:45a

Performance time: 8:30a

Clinic time: 9:00a

Pick up time: MHS Band Room 9:30a

Dress:  Jazz "A" Shirt, Black Pants, Stylish Shoes

Results will be revealed on Monday!

Parents and Students:

Progress report grades sent home on Friday will not show your child's grade in their music class.  An up to date grade for the grading period can be found on Zangle.

NOTE: STUDENTS CAN DRAMATICALLY RAISE THEIR GRADE BY TURNING IN EVERY PRACTICE JOURNAL FROM NOW TO THE END OF THE YEAR.  I will also accept late journals dating back to 4/1.
