How To Acquire an Instrument
Parents,
Puma Band and Puma Strings instrument selection is done! At this point, your son or daughter should know what they are playing. If they are borrowing a school instrument, we will assign instrument over the next few days in class, and you can skip down to the "accessories" list. If you are interested in purchasing an instrument, please email me directly so we can discuss options. If you've already emailed me, I'll get back to you this weekend! If you're renting an instrument, keep reading...
As you know, September 8 is Nick Rail Rental Night. If you are interested in renting an instrument from Nick Rail, they have their online portal open for Mesa Verde families.
Click on the link above or go to their website at nickrailmusic.com and select "Rent", then "Begin Online Rentals". Choose "Moorpark", and select "Mesa Verde MS" for your school. You can complete the online contract and choose to have your instrument delivered to the school on Instrument Rental Night! No waiting around or filling out paper work!
The online rental portal will close on September 5 at 5pm, but we're requesting that you fill this out prior to the end of the weekend, so they'll have time to stock everything they need before the big day.
Nick Rail will also be bringing extra (paper) contracts and instruments to Instrument Rental Night for those who don't complete the online contract prior to September 5. Instruments rented on the night of the event will likely be delivered the following week.
Our goal is to have everyone on an instrument by Monday, September 12.
At this link is a list of accessories needed for each instrument, regardless of where you'll acquire one: Acessories for Band , Accessories for Strings
I'm looking forward to getting started!
Musically,
Kurt Gray
